Esther C. Kelly, 73, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away at 6:05 AM, Saturday, December 7th, 2013 at University Hospital, Cincinnati, OH. Esther was born in Beattyville, KY on December 17, 1939, a daughter of the late Eva (Lawson) and Russel Couch. She worked as a receptionist at Ohio County Tourism Rising Sun, IN., Esther also had worked as a nurse for Marion General Hospital for 21 years and at Brown's Video Store in Rising Sun, IN. She was a member of Rising Sun Nazarene Church. Esther was a people person and loved her job. She also enjoyed her flowers and working in the yard. Esther also loved her dogs Sassy and Buster.
Esther is survived by her loving companion of 32 years, Paul E. Gibson, of Rising Sun, IN; a daughter, Debra Kelly Thomas and husband David, of Hazzard, KY; two sons, Jeff Kelly and companion Juanita White, of Clarksville, TN; Michael Kelly, of Rising Sun, IN; a step son, Paul E. Gibson, II, of Ft. Bragg, NC; by grandchildren, Justin Kyle Kelly, Travis Colter Thomas, Cheyenne Destiny Thomas and Cody Hines; two sisters, Louise Riehle, of Lawrenceburg, IN; Reva Bandy, of Florence, KY; a brother, Ben Couch, of Port Charlotte, FL. Esther was preceded in death by her parents, by a brother, Sedley Couch, by a sister, Viola Skurrow and by a grandson, Jason Kelly. Funeral Service at Markland Funeral Home, Rising Sun, IN, at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 10th, with Rev. Chris Robinson officiating. Friends are invited to call Tuesday 11AM-1PM. at Markland Funeral Home. Interment at Rising Sun New Cemetery Rising Sun, IN.
