Matthew Anthony Gabis, 57, of Cold Spring, passed away on July 23, 2010 at University Hospital, Cincinnati, OH. Matt graduated from Catholic Central High School, Steubenville, Ohio. Member of St. Joseph Church, Cold Spring. Owner and Operator of the AmeriStop Food Mart's in Erlanger and Villa Hills where Matt was the manager of the Erlanger store. Was a Boy Scout Leader at St. Joseph. Matt was also a proud member of the Alcohol Anonymous for 20 continuous years of sobriety. He was preceded in death by his Father, Anthony Gabis, and Mother, Agnes (nee Yoka) Gabis.Matthew is survived by his wife Catherine Gerrein Gabis of Cold Spring; Daughter - Nicole (Nick) Sternberg of Fort Thomas, KY; 3 Sons - Jonathan Gabis of Cold Spring, KY, Jeremy Gabis of Columbus, OH, and Zachary (Megan) Gabis of Dayton, KY; 6 Brothers - Damien Gabis of Valparaiso, IN, Joe Gabis of Wheeling, WVa, Mark Gabis of Owensboro, KY, Jerome Gabis of Cincinnati, OH, Paul Gabis of Cold Spring, KY, John Gabis of Chillicothe, OH; 2 Sisters - Mary Lou Deku of Toronto, OH, Margie Parker of Colorado Springs, CO;Also Matt was known as G-Pa to 3 grandchildren, Noah, Kayleigh, and Anthony.Visitation 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, July 26, 2010 at Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, Fort Thomas.Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 27, 2010, 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Church, Cold Spring, with Rev.
