Elaine Eva Ikert, 75, of Patriot, IN, passed away at 03:51 AM, Friday, February 17th, 2017 at Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg, IN. Elaine was born in Cincinnati, OH on May 4, 1941, a daughter of the late Mary (Wieczorkowski) and Peter Keiner. She was a graduate of Our Lady of Angels High School. On April 1st, 1965 she married Roger Ikert who passed away in 2012. Elaine was the former Food Service Manager at the Friends Home Retirement Community in Greensboro, NC. Elaine enjoyed playing bingo, raising flowers and working outside.
Elaine is survived by a daughter, Tina Fox and husband Mike, of Patriot, IN and a by a son Mike Ikert and wife Jill, of Englewood, OH. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Elaine was preceded in death by her husband Roger and by her brothers Robert and Kenneth Keiner.
Funeral services will be 7 PM, Thursday, February 23rd at the Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN with Pastor Patrick Bujak officiating. Friends are invited to call Thursday 5-7 PM at Markland Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. marklandfuneralhome.com
