Jack Powell, 80, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2011 in Rising Sun, IN.
He was born Friday, August 1, 1930 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Son of the late Carl Powell and the late Helen Riehle Powell.
He worked as a Distiller for Seagrams Distillery, retiring after over 40 years of service.
Jack enjoyed bowling, and he was a big Reds Baseball Fan.
Surviving are Sons, James Powell of Wichita, KS, Jack L Powell of Charlotte, NC, Richard Powell of Wichita, KS, William Powell of Jacksonville, Ark.; Daughters, Helen Wariner of Riverside, CA, Joyce Bergbom of Riverside, CA, Pamela Cook of Indianapolis, IN; Brothers, Charles Powell of Taylor, MI, Joseph "Joe" Powell of Cincinnati, OH, Carl Powell of Colorado Springs, CO; Sisters, Rosalie Wagner of Rising Sun, IN, Shirley Woodruff of Garland, ME; Several Grandchildren, Numerous Great-grandchildren; Long time friend and companion, Elsie Stegemiller of Rising Sun, IN.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Isabel C. Powell.
Friends will be received Sunday July 31, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 pm at the Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, Aurora, Indiana.
Services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Aurora, Indiana, Monday August 1, 2011 at 11:00 am with Father Stephen Donahue officiating.
Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
