Michael Garland Lane "Mike", 59, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016. He was born October 29, 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of the late Thomas Lane and Ruth (Blackwell) Johns.
Mike was a devoted Reds and Bengals fan. He enjoyed working on cars, watching old westerns, and TV in general. He loved being papaw. He worked in the hardware department at Walmart.
He is survived by his mother, Ruth Johns of Aurora, IN; significant other, Kimberley Morales of Lawrenceburg, IN; 2 sons, Michael Garland Lane Jr of Dillsboro, IN, George Lee Lane of Dillsboro, IN; daughter, Tracey (Tim) Rizzo of Cincinnati, OH; 5 brothers, Billy (Paula) Lane of Hamilton, OH, Douglas (Carol) Lane of New Carlisle, OH, Leslie (Adrianne) Lane of Greendale, IN, James Lane of Rising Sun, IN, Timothy Lane of Aurora, IN; 3 sisters, Joyce (Johnny) Rose of Lawrenceburg, IN, Abigail Lane-Kraemer of Aurora, IN, Diane Johnson of Aurora, IN; 7 grandchildren, Sierra, Jullian, Melissa, Linda, Chyleigh, Gunner, and Brentley.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Lane; twin granddaughters, Tracey Kay Lane and Stacey Renee Lane; and step son, Adam Morales.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Friday, September 23, 2016 at 7 pm, with Pastor Terry Rueger officiating.
